The Will Of Richard Shortland

 

This is the last Will and Testament of one Richard Shortland late of Helmdon in the County of Northampton but nowe of Yarnton in the County of Oxford Gentleman made and Published this 21st day of february 1787.  I Give to my sons Richard Thomas Shortland and Edward Shortland one shilling each.  I Give and bequeath all my ready monies Book Debts and Securities for Monies and all other my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Daughter Mary Shortland her Executors Administrators and Assigns the paying my Just Debts funeral and Testamentary Expences And I thereby appoint my said daughter  Mary sole Executrix of this my Will and I revoke all other Wills by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.

 

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written.   (signed) Richard Shortland

 

Signed Sealed Published and  Declared by the said Testator Richard Shortland as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the Presence of each other have Subscribed Our Names as Witnesses Jane Pencutt, Geo. Ballackey Att:y at Law Oxford.
