Please find below some details of Dementia courses that are being run by Northamptonshire County Council's Adult Learning department. The courses are open to everyone.


Dementia- Carers and Relatives - Southfield School, Kettering on 21st
November and Sir Christopher Hatton, Wellingborough on 28th February


The aim of the course is to define what dementia is and identify some of the common characteristics. Identify ways of managing behaviour changes. The course will be taught by interactive paired work and small group work.


Dementia - Why people with dementia do what they do. Sir Christopher Hatton, Wellingborough on 22nd November and Caroline Chisholm School on 27th February


The aim of the course is to identify some of the reasons people with
dementia do the things they do. Identify the reasons behind their behaviour changes. Describe a variety of behaviours they may have or develop. Identify ways of managing these behaviour changes.


Full fee = £14 and Remitted fee = £5.90
