The location of the Jubilee Wood

Plans for the planting of Helmdon's Jubilee Wood are developing well. Come along on 10 November to help create our new wood to mark the Diamond Jubilee.  Thanks to the Woodland Trust we have 400 trees to plant – Cherry, Ash, Oak, Silver Birch and a special oak from the Sandringham Estate.

Planting will take place from 11am to 3pm in the field at the end of Cross Lane, just below the Wappenham Road (See picture). Bring the family and a spade and plant as many trees as you want. Full instructions will be provided.

Refreshments will be available and it will be possible to buy special tree tags to name a tree for a child, a relative or a friend.

For more details on access, car parking and the background to the Jubilee Wood, see the information updates nearer the time.
