Carnival cash to be handed out

Helmdon Carnival is set to hand out charity cash totalling more than £4,000.

Brackley Cottage Hospital, the village Reading Room and Helmdon Sports Club will receive £1,200 each.

And £700 has been reserved for other village groups who must now make their case for an award.

The twenty-third Helmdon Carnival took place in August and organisers were delighted with the result.

The event took £7,502 in total, attracting hundreds of visitors throughout the three days.

A representative of each of the main beneficiaries is set to attend the presentation evening on Wednesday, November 30th, at the Helmdon Reading Room in Church Street to receive their awards.
