BLOW FOR FIRM AS WIND FARM DENIED

Plans for a five-turbine village wind farm have been thrown out.

Broadview Energy Limited wanted to develop land in Helmdon – but South Northamptonshire Council has thrown out the plans. The firm appealed to the planning inspector,  but Secretary of State Eric Pickles upheld the decision in a notice which was published on December 23.

He said: “The proposal would not accord with the South Northants development plan.”
