FUTURE LOOKS CERTAIN FOR
COACH COMPANY
An established South Northamptonshire coach company has announced a management
restructure and the introduction of a new business model which, it says, will
safeguard the firm’s future.
Following rumours that Helmdon-based Jeffs
Coaches was facing potential closure, newly-appointed managing director Sarah
Bayliss issued a clear statement on Tuesday confirming the company, which is
owned by the Bowen Travel group, will continue trading with the retention of its
35 employees.
She said: ”We were looking to diversify
and we offered a part of the business for sale, but people got the wrong end of
the stick and a lot of people assumed we were about out to go
bust.”
She added: ”All we were really doing was
having an internal review, which is important to do quite often in the current
economic climate. We’ve been here since 1956 and we’re looking forward to the
future.
