TRAFFIC LIGHT RELIEF FOR HELMDON
People in Helmdon who have endured temporary traffic lights for more than two years are set for some relief after work began to repair the bridge.
In early 2011 the bridge over the disused Great Central Railway was declared unsafe and two way traffic lights were installed, narrowing the main entrance to the village down to one lane. Last week the bulldozers arrived to fill in the bridge archways, which once housed a station.
