GOLDEN WEDDING OF ALAN AND PEGGY RYALLS

A couple from Helmdon have just celebrated sixty years of marriage.

Alan and Peggy Ryalls celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on Friday, June 15, and had a family party on Saturday.

The couple, who are now both 82, married in 1841 at Barnes Parish Church in London and had four children – two girls and two boys.

Mr Ryalls said the secret to a happy and long lasting marriage was to be tolerant, have staying power and a sense of humour.
