Pedal power came into play when youngsters climbed aboard their bikes to raise money for their school.
The children of Helmdon Primary School near Banbury negotiated a specially built obstacle course during the sponsored ride last Thursday.
The cash will be ploughed back into the school to benefit the 113 pupils. Chairman of governors Morag Underwood said the money from past events had already been used to buy playground equipment.
“We have had a sponsored flag competition where children drew flags from different countries which we hung round the school, and a sponsored obstacle course without bikes,” she said.
