NEW LUNCHEON CLUB
Members of the Helmdon luncheon Club celebrated a £1,400 lottery grant this week.
The lottery money was spent on crockery, cutlery and saucepans, a microwave and a new store cupboard.
The Club started up in September 1998 in the Reading Room and is held on the third Tuesday of each month. It offers lunch for anyone who would appreciate the social occasion.
The club started with 14 people, with Lyndsey Leeden Glassett undertaking the cooking but now the group has grown to 35.
If you know of anyone in Helmdon who would benefit from either a meal in the Reading Room or a ‘Meals on Wheels’, or have any questions regarding menus, call on (01295) 760695.
