RETIREMENT OF DORIS AND JOSEPH SHEPPARD

A bouquet of flowers, a basket of fruit, two lampshades and close on £150 was presented to a Helmdon couple on Saturday night. Doris and Joseph Sheppard retired last month after delivering the village’s daily and local newspapers for 20 years

The presentation was made by locals Arthur Duncombe and Vera Wilson on behalf of the village. “It was lovely that they made a presentation to us”,  said Mr Sheppard
