WATCH OUT, IT’S IN PRINT
If you’ve ever done anything odd in Helmdon it is now in print!
For members of Helmdon Women’s Club have just written and published a book called The Things We Could Tell You About Helmdon! telling the village’s history from Doomsday to the present day.
One of the main contributors, Gilly Thomas, 41, of Wappenham Road, said: “The book contains over 50 photographs, amusing anecdotes and tales, describing the long and happy history of our area.”
Gilly and Celia Lowe, 37, also of Wappenham Road, and the club committee, spent nine months researching for the book and any money made will go to charity.
The book, published by Parchment printers of Banbury, costs £6.50 and can be bought in the two village shops.
